As an entrepreneur, Doug co-founded Cresenda Wireless in 1999, and facilitated the sale of Sendia, (renamed and spun-out) to Salesforce.com in 2003. Doug founded and has lead Dobie Associates, a boutique strategy shop since 2002. In 2015, Doug founded Delvantage , a strategy software start-up, focused on providing decision analytics for product marketers and managers.

Named Advertising Age “Marketer of the Year,” Doug has stepped into CMO, President and Board Advisor roles for clients who need immediate executive leadership and support while building new capabilities.

Before all the entrepreneurial stuff , Doug worked as a corporate creature in strategy, marketing and product development executive roles with Verizon Wireless, AirTouch Communications, and GTE Mobile Communications.

Doug is currently a Strategy and Management guest faculty member at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine, for Executive education. He earned his MBA at the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA and his BA at James Madison College, within Michigan State University, completing his Senior year at Cambridge University, Cambridge, England.
